Scottish singer, harpist and composer Rachel Newton masterfully blends tradition and imagination. Her latest project Sealladh, commissioned by the National Galleries of Scotland, celebrates 80 years of live music at the galleries. Each piece draws inspiration from a work in the Scottish Collection – from William McTaggart to Phoebe Anna Traquair – with visuals of the artworks and field recordings from their locations enhancing the performance. Rachel is joined by Sally Simpson on viola and Alice Allen on cello for this evocative and immersive experience.
