Code of Conduct

All individuals associated with the Dutch Harp Festival are expected to adhere to our Code of Conduct. This encompasses visitors, venues, artists, crew members, volunteers, security, photo/videographers, and other stakeholders. Together, we form the Dutch Harp Festival community, working collaboratively to create a safer environment for everyone.

Key points to note:

  • Dutch Harp Festival strictly enforces a zero-tolerance policy against sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, islamophobia, anti-semitism, ageism, and ableism.
  • We value freedom of expression highly and are committed to establishing a harassment-free zone for all participants.
  • Any form of physical abuse or intimidation will result in immediate removal from the festival site, with no possibility of return or restitution.
  • Discriminatory language or actions are condemned, and appropriate consequences will be implemented upon witnessing such behavior.
  • Sexual harassment and intimidation are not tolerated. Dutch Harp Festival stands by the victims and provides necessary support and care.
  • We emphasize collective responsibility and encourage everyone to look out for each other. If you experience or witness harassment or discrimination, please approach our crew.
  • In addition to our crew, a Social Safety Team and Hub, facilitated by Sexmatters, will be available at TivoliVredenburg. They operate independently and are there to assist those who feel unwell or have experienced harassment or discrimination. Anonymous incident reports can also be made here, and our crew can guide you to the Social Safety Hub anytime.
  • We recognize that reporting incidents immediately may not always be feasible, so we encourage you to contact us after the festival at info@harpfestival.nl to share your experiences. We guarantee a response within a week.
  • Dutch Harp Festival values and incorporates advice from Sexmatters regarding reported incidents, ensuring the protection of anonymity at all times.
